Why is Hypnosis so effective?
Positive thoughts breed positive actions which bring positive success. That’s exactly how hypnotherapy works, helping install new feelings of well-being. Since hypnosis is accessing the creative unconscious part of the mind, there is much less resistance in accepting positive suggestions. Therefore the treatment can often be much more effective, and produce much quicker results, than with those achieved by psychotherapy alone. Hypnosis is often used as a compliment to the work being done by the psychotherapist.
What can hypnosis do for you?
Hypnosis can help people just like you eliminate fears, improve sports performance, overcome the fear of speaking in public, and any other issues you may experience in your life.
Does Hypnosis work for everyone?
What one person feels may be entirely different from the next. Young children, people high on drugs or alcohol, and those with developmental disabilities are not good candidates for hypnosis.
What does being in Hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis is a natural state. In fact, you experience this state every day. It’s that feeling that you pass through right when you wake up in the morning and go to sleep at night. Tomorrow when you wake up notice how nice that feeling is… you know… the one kind of between your sleep state and awake state…sometimes it feels kind of hazy and you can also be aware of someone if they are speaking nearby.
Can I get stuck in hypnosis?
No. You can open your eyes at any time. Also, a person cannot stay in hypnosis indefinitely without being directed. You would just come out of trance by yourself if the hypnotist didn’t speak for a few moments.
Will I remember things when I open my eyes?
Yes. If you want to.
Can you make me reveal any secrets when I’m in hypnosis?
No. The US Government tried this. It didn’t work.
Can you take control of my mind and make me do things I don’t want to?
No. If this could be done, my husband would cook dinner every night and happily wash the dishes.
